President’s
Message:
I would like to thank all of
you that brought plants for the show table. There are always a lot of first
class plants and it was especially nice for Ken Peterson to start at the
opposite end and talk about plants we usually do not see or hear much about. The
Phals are coming into bloom so I expect to see a lot of them in the next couple
of months.
At the February meeting our members nominated three members and the
President put forward two names to be on the nominating committee. They are
Charles Rhodes, Gil Gillespie, Louise Roesser, with Christine Cross and Frank
Auerbach nominated by the president. Gil was nominated Chairman of the
committee. The election is next month.
At our November meeting a young lady asked our speaker whether beginners
should grow
Nelda Pressly, a past President, was due to have a knee replacement
February 14. How about sending her a card wishing her well and hoping we see her
soon.
